Do you want something cold to drink?Alexandra: I'd love some cola, please.Robbie: Cola coming up. I really appreciate you coming over to help me with my math. My final exam is next Tuesday.Alexandra: You're so good in all your other subjects. I just can't understand why you have so many problems with math.Grandpa: [He enters the kitchen. ] Hi, Alexandra.Alexandra: Hi, Mr. Stewart.Grandpa: I thought that was Nat Baker who rang the front doorbell. Don't let me interrupt you.Robbie: No problem, Grandpa. We're just having some cola before getting to the tough stuff -- math. 1. It's hard for some older people to take all that noise. That's why the new community center is a good idea. 2. I see what you mean. 3. It could be Alexandra. She's coming over this morning to help me with my math. could be: 表一種可能性。 help sb. with sth.: 4. I'd love some cola, please. -- Cola coming up. Cola coming up. 5. I really appreciate you coming over to help me with my math. My final exam is next Tuesday. you coming over: coming在這里是動名詞,you coming是主謂關系的結構,作appreciate的賓語。 6. I thought that was Nat Baker who rang the front doorbell. Don't let me interrupt you. I thought that was…: 這是一個很好的例子,說明“I thought + 賓語從句”常表示原來想的與事實不符。 7. No problem, Grandpa. We're just having some cola before getting to the tough stuff -- math. No problem: 沒問題。 |
